Media Server to two locations

I want the media server directory to host a folder that stores movies and another folder that hosts tv shows.

My movie folder and tv show folder are on the root of the drive. The media server does not find any files if I select the root directory. It will find my movies if I select movies, but then my tv shows are hosted, and vice versa.

I created a folder on my root directory and added 2 symbolic links to the folder (one link to each of the movie and tv show folders). This did not work either.

I want to keep the tv shows and movies separate as they are all organized (tv shows are further organized into season folders). Is there way to have both the movies and tv shows folders on the server?

Thanks in advance.

Why not create a folder called Video, and physically move both Movies and TV Shows inside that Video folder? Then have the DLNA server monitor the content of Video. That's how I had my medias organized back when I was using a DLNA server on my PC to stream to my WDTV.

It is a shame the DNLA client will not allow you to select multiple folders, even my aging Thecus N5200 allows this :(

I guess I will have to keep using that noisy old beast for now.
