Is there any sort of demo site I can use to see Merlin's GUI in action? Something like https://demoui.asus.com/index.asp but for Merlin Firmware? I want to see the options available before I flash my router. Thanks.

No, but check the firmware release threads. Often folks ask questions about Asuswrt-Merlin features and post screen shots.

Flash it with Merlin you don't like it go back to Asus not a big deal takes a few minutes out of yiour day
