forgot to mention, I'm using windows 10. Seems strange I can't map the drive when it has a valid ip address. It's connected to the network via cat5 ethernet
Good call. I disabled the firewall on the router and all works well now. I mapped the drive and then re-enabled the firewall and I still have access. I had just thought of the firewall but was out grocery shopping. Thanks. Appreciate the help!
I was actually referring to the firewall on the computer, not the router.
Any idea why I would have to disable the router firewall to get it able to map?
