Monitor VPN up/down?

Hi there!

I am using the OpenVPN client built in to Merlin. Occasionally it disconnects, and won’t reconnect. I want to be able to monitor this and notify myself if it goes down. I can’t seem to find a utility to do this - connmon does not seem to monitor for the VPN status directly, rather looks to ping something, which will not work for my use case. VPNMon r2 does not seem to have a notification method built in. Anyone know of a simple way to monitor and report on the VPN up/down status?

Set up a valid external email (em) in amtm and vpnmon-r3 will be able to inform you.
VPNMON-r2 is no longer maintained, so I think you have some updates to do.

Speaking about up/down... we are doing RTRHTR airworthiness tests on March 10th, remember? At least one up/down is guaranteed. If the equipment's structural integrity is still visually okay we can do more.

What goes up must come down, and in this case, probaby raining down. I'm all on board. Latest F/W and RTRHTR code is ready to light things up! (no pun intended)
