Move from LTS fork to regular merlin on rt-ac68u?

I can't seem to figure this one out... I tried flashing the factory firmware, and it fails..So I try the Asus firmware restoration tool, with the factory firmware, it fails. I tried Merlin's firmware with the restoration tool and it said it succeeded, but when I reboot, I'm back with the LTS fork..

What to do?

If your router is a converted CellSpot model that will be the reason.

It's not, but I did figure it out....I was trying to upload the firmware for the 86u, not 68u....
