My last N16 just gave it up

Well my last N16 in the field just gave it up. This one just died after the site had a power drop and surge. Even though it was on a surge surpressor I am sure the capacitors on the board no longer are holding their own.

Brings a tear to my eye because this series was very stable. Well there is an adavantage now. This client can now have the option of going dual band since I have been repacing the N16's with the N66u's.

What kind of workload at your client's site?

Usually only 4 to 5 users at a time. This one was in a small coffee shop on a slow DSL service with 3 mbps symetrical connection to the internet.

Yes I was using Tomato firmware with some modifications by be to support capative portal access, very short lease times, etc. NoCatSplash worked very well in some of the various builds of Tomato also.
