NAS with 1 nic over 2 vlans?

I have a procurve 1810 series with 2 vlans, public/private, NAS is currently untagged on private side... I'd like to make it available on both network segments... is this possible?

What make and model NAS do you have? Are the two VLANs in the same subnet? Do you have a router?

Hmm, with that NAS and having separate subnets the only way I know to give both networks access is to put a router between the networks and allow both access to the NAS. It may be possible in your situation to do some funny business with the NAS subnet mask to make it work. If both your networks start with the same 2 octets (like 192.168) then it may be possible to put the NAS on a 255.255.0.0 subnet and make it a member of both VLAN's and it may work. It gets confusing, I will have to try to think through it after work if someone else has not commented.
Also, if you could put both networks on the same subnet, in different VLAN's you can make it work if the switch supports General ports.
