NAT Acceleration

New Around Here
Hey all wanted to get some feedback from everyone.

I have a RT-AC3100 running the latest version of Asuswrt-Merlin

So I have always disabled NAT Acceleration because Asus claims that if you do the traffic monitor will be more accurate. So I want to know if this is true?

Also what does NAT Acceleration do? Would it benefit me to have it enabled? I have Time Warners Ultimate package which gives me 300mbps down and 20mbps up.

Thanks

More accurate... yeah, probably, but I'd use the word "reliable".

My ancient RT-N66U (single-core ~600Mhz CPU) can push ~300Mbit wirelessly, with no hardware accel enabled. Your needs seem very conservative, with regard to your device's capabilities.

PS - Nobody is sure what HW accel does... proprietary magic.
