Need help setting up Remote Web Access with WHS 2011 with RT-AC68R

I tried to setup Remote Web Access with Windows Home Server 2011 and was unable to configure it via UPnP.

I get two errors:
1. Port forwarding is not configured correctly on the router
and
2. Remote web access to your server is blocked

I have an RT-AC68R flashed with Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.376.49_4.

I'm just seeking advise on how to properly setup my router so that I can configure WHS 2011 Remote Web Access.

Presumably you have UPnP enabled at WAN > Internet Connection > Enable UPnP

And you have not manually forwarded any ports at WAN > Virtual Server / Port Forwarding

More than that I don't know.

Yes I do have UPnP enabled but that does not work by itself.

I tried also manually forwarding ports 80, 443, and 4125, for my WHS 2011 server IP, with UPnP both enabled and not, following these instructions http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/114093 but that did not work either.

By default upnp refuses to forward privileged ports (port numbers below 1024). You need to configure it on the WAN page, change the 1024 minimum port to 1.

But maybe I'm not setting up the ports correctly. Do I put a port range in and also specify that port?

Define one rule per port instead, for sake of simplicity in case you need to do some adjustments. Also don't forget to enable port forwarding at the top of this page.

Yes I put a rule in for each port. And I did enable port forwarding.

Make sure it's not your modem that's firewalling your router (that will be the case if it's set in router mode instead of bridged).

Also if you need to also forward port 443, make sure you don't enable AiCloud on the router, as it would also try to use port 443 on the WAN side.

I'm waiting on the line right now with my ISP to check if they are firewalling these ports.

And AiCloud was not enabled.

And can this router and Merlin firmware negotiate the address form inside my LAN?

Edit: My ISP (cox.net) filters port 80, the others (443 and 4125) are fine.

And the way I setup my router is:

With port forwarding enabled, UPnP disabled, and AiCloud disabled:

Service Name | Port Range | Local IP | Local Port | Protocol (where "192.168.1.1" is just example IP address of my WHS2011 box)

What do you mean by that?

That it will not negotiate the address to access my server from inside my LAN, but it would work outside. Searching other posts for a possible problem resolve I found it mentioned that some routers have limited functionality and might not be able to.
