Need somebody to teach updating transmission

Hey guys, i am wondering if anybody out there know how to update the transmission native app on padavan's firmware. I saw rmerlin's tutorial but it seems to install an old version of transmission (2.6x) i am now running 2.71 on 1.1.2.6-018. The latest padavan's firmware came with 2.73. I saw the dev page released 4.1 already. I am a total noob here, a detailed tutorial is needed. Thanx guys.

I guess the tutorial you are referring to installs optware, I have learned that packages in optware are old version. Try entware instead.

You do it more or less the same way as you install optware.
