I need a big NAS box and was looking at the Thecus N7700 but after reading that it does not work with Seagate 1.5TB drives I am giving up on it

Has anybody used their products? They do sell it with 8 1.5TB drives, so I assume it is working.
I have been quoted $1145 delivered for a diskless version, so fully loaded looking at $2350
Last, is there anything else out there besides the N7700 and 8000V?
