Netgear X10 R9000 Firmware issues

My cousin just bought an x10 and it has the developers firmware on it. We went to the Netgear website for the most current which it says is 1.0.2.52. When searching for the firmware using the firmware update is shows 1.0.2.106. Has anyone manually updated to 1.0.2.52 or auto updated to 1.0.2.106? Would like your input on either firmware. Thank you.

As far as I know 1.0.2.106 is some beta released in August. And it is with serious bug, when Samba does not copy files with more than 2GB size:

So IMO you should try to use 1.0.2.52 (at least date of its creation is 27 Nov 2017).

Voxel.

Just got my R9000 today and I think it came with firmware 1.0.2.2x or something. I immediately updated to 1.0.2.52 then reset the router to stock settings as that's what's recommended on the Netgear support site and it's been working flawlessly. this router has very good wireless range/coverage
