Network map not allowing Downstream AP control

I have a Asus CM-32_AC2600 Modem/router and hooked up an Asus RT-AC1200 downstream as an AP. When I go to the Network GUI for the modem, I dont see the downstream AP as an Asus device (just an IP) I'd like to control the AP from the GUI, Is this possible?
