Network Time Protocol

Does anyone here know how to set the Network Time Protocol so it doesn't post an update as frequently in the System Log - General Log?

eg: Jan 7 14:59:57 ntp: start NTP update

It does this every hour (practically on the hour) and clutters the General Log with these messages.

You can't. It's simply the way Asus has implemented it in recent firmware releases.
