Newbie Here With Question About the GS-AX5400

This link provided more info then the last link you provided. What I got back was the following: fanctrl_info = ; curr_cpuTemp = "67.021"; curr_rxData = fanctrl_info[3]; curr_coreTmp_2 = fanctrl_info[1]; curr_coreTmp_5 = fanctrl_info[2];

From what I can figure out is that the router is holding at 67.021. Am I right?

Yep, you're ok at that temp. Sorry for the link confusion.

How do you know these " fanctrl_info = ; curr_cpuTemp = "67.021"; curr_rxData = fanctrl_info[3]; curr_coreTmp_2 = fanctrl_info[1]; curr_coreTmp_5 = fanctrl_info[2];"? What is the differences between your router and mine besides the price?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking. The only information returned that is of interest is 'cpu temp = 67.021C'. The rest is gibberish to be ignored, imo.

What is the differences between your router and mine besides the price?

You ask too much and more than I know. :) Even if you bothered to compare their tech specs published on the ASUS website, you would not understand it all. Perhaps be more specific.

No problem with questions... just keep them narrowed/focused to your own research and learning to suit the bite-size nature of this self-help community.

There are many seniors online, myself included... we have the time and experience and desire to be helpful and to continue learning.

How is one to learn without a teachers?

Almost everything is online now. Home routers are not very complex devices and the information is readily available.

For your router - don't make firmware options changes you don't know about. Keep it close to default, research and go one step at a time.
