Nexus 5 doesn't see AC68U 5G wireless

I just swapped an N66U for an AC68U and setup both 2.4G and 5G wireless networks (with different SSID's). When I open the WIFI settings on my Nexus 5 the 5G network is not found, only the 2.4G. A Windows 7 laptop sees the 5G just fine. Ideas? Using Merlin 374.43_2.

D'oh, nvm, obscure setting in advanced wifi settings on the n5 needed to be tweaked to see both bands.

Hi, what did you do? I got a Nexus 4 and cant see the 5ghz band either, I got the rt66u, changed the channels, lower to higher, opened the network, messed with the 20/40hz and no luck, this is an old issue for me, I also messed with the phone forcing only to connect to the 5ghz band and nothing, sometimes it sees the wifi but does not connect, and disappears later. But with my iPad and Laptops connects with no issues to the router, only issue is the nexus 4
Thanks.

settings->wifi->advanced->wifi frequency band->auto

Mine had been set to 2.4GHz only. D'oh!

Looks like my phone is messed up. Thanks!

This is a common problem in Nexus 4 phones. The common fix is to use channels 36 - 48. Google around and you'll get similar responses. I personally don't use the 5ghz range for my Nexus 4. Not that much congestion, plus I leave the 5ghz for my desktop
