Hi All, Hoping to get some suggestions on how to make printing work on my NS4600 box.
So far, I have an HP OfficeJet connected to it, using a 3m USB cable.
I have a number of PC's on the LAN, one of them this Kubuntu 10.10 laptop I'm using right now.
If I connect the printer directly to this laptop, using the 3m USB cable, I can print to it fine.
If I connect the cable into the NS4600, I think the printer is registered on the device as when I use CUPS to add a printer, it happily discovers the OfficeJet printer on the NS4600. I connect to it using this method.
When I send a print over the network from this laptop, I see the job appear temporarily in the print queue and also the spool file appears in the expected spool directory.
All looks absolutely fine, apart from not a single thing actually comes out of the printer...
What can I try next - I do have telnet access onto the NS4600...
Thanks!
