Really weird problem here.
We have an Archer c5 that is being just used as a switch+ap. The main router is a Netgear fvs318n.
Every day, between 1-2p cst and 4-5p cst, the wireless signal will drop from the c5 for just 10 seconds--enough to timeout a video conf call when my wife is working from home. This is on 5ghz.
I checked the airwaves using netapp on my wife's mac and noticed that we were in a slightly crowded space channel-wise and moved us to the edges where we are almost the only signal. This didn't change the dropouts whatsoever.
I'm still on stock shipped firmware and won't be able to mess with this until I get home, but I wanted to get some thoughts...
