Official firmware won't spin down HDD attached to USB

I have a AC68U and Merlin used to be fine to spin down HDD connected to USB. Now I switched to Aimesh firmware and same HDD keep spinning. Is there anyway to enable HDD spin down? Thank you.

This does not work for me. My 8TB HDD still keeps spinning and is pretty warm... I am with 20145 firmware.

Think 8 TB is too big for Asus routers.

I have been using 8TB for almost 2 years without issue.

hmm, I remember when I used Merlin spin down is not an issue for the same drive. Now I move to official ASUS as I need AiMesh...
