openvpn client

A while ago I had been using the openvpn client to access other countries google playstores but for some reason this no longer seems to work.

If I check myip etc,or go to speedtest.net all looks good and internet traffic is correctly routed.

Running a vpn direct on my tablet seems to work.

Any ideas, or can some one else try and see if they get the same behaviour?

Do not understand, your openvpn client connected to openvpn server? Check system log, ping server's side.
If yes, then check routing or use the "Redirect Internet traffic" in openvpn client settings.

Yes the vpn client on the router is connecting to vpn service and all internet traffic redirected.

However, not for play.google.com after cache delete etc, it still seems to know where it is being accessed from.

traceroute play.google.com
If trace is right - clear cookies on your browser.
