pace 5268ac WiFi won't die

I don't how many times I disable the 2.4ghz radio but it keeps coming back on. The 5ghz stays off, no big deal but I run a Asus router behind the Pace and the Asus has to be disconnected before I can access WiFi settings in the pace

Are you able to put that device in Bridge Mode? If it's an ISP's device, can you ask them to do so? That should keep the radios off.

But can it do true Bridge Mode? That will turn the radios off for sure.

Is it an ISP supplied router? Ask them to Bridge it for you. If the hardware allows it (and your ISP allows it), they can do it remotely if they so choose.
