Well well well, still being run around by a router that tries to tell me how I want my router set up, so much so that it decides to change my login password, stating 'your password has been changed to..' - Without showing the f'n thing!!

Who said changing peoples passwords without permission and not showing what it was changed to is a good idea?

I decided to attempt entware on my ac86u, using https://github.com/JACK-THINK/SCRIPTS-BOOTLOADER-FOR-ASUS-ROUTER/blob/master/README_en-US.md

End result:

(addons_install): 19702 INFO: INPUT THE VALUE: Pachacouti
(addons_install): 19702 INFO: INPUT THE VALUE AGAIN TO CONFIRM: *********
(addons_install): 19702 NOTICE: THE TWO VALUES ARE INCONSISTENT
(addons_install): 19702 INFO: INPUT THE VALUE: Pachacouti
(addons_install): 19702 INFO: INPUT THE VALUE AGAIN TO CONFIRM: ^C

Obviously had no choice but to exit the script, because at no time was I shown what the password was changed to?

And whats with the input value? it takes less bytes to show login/pwd!!! What VALUE?

What firmware are you running on your RT-AC86U?

Do you want to use all the addons that the script includes?

Why not do a partial install of the router, then while logged in, use "http://router.asus.com/Advanced_SettingBackup_Content.asp" to bypass the rest of the steps and configure things how you want?
