PCI Express Card Suggestion

The intel gear only works with certain chipsets - so check to make sure - the external extended antenna is a nice touch.

Hello all,

I'm looking at replacing an existing PCI express card.

Narrowed it down to two possible choices:

Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 for Desktop

TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Wireless N900 Dual Band PCI Express Adapter

Any suggestions? I'm open to other options as well.
My recommendation is not to use a PCI WiFi card. The antennas are disadvantaged in location (buried down low, blocked by furniture, etc.)

Better: A WiFi to ethernet client bridge: connect to ethernet port of PC. Place somewhat elevated and in the clear.

Can do the same with a good USB WiFi adapter dongle and an 8 ft. USB extension cord.

Either will equal or better the PCIe card's speed, and cost less.
