POE managed switch recommendation

I'm in need of an affordable POE gigabit manged switch that's at least 24 ports.

Any thoughts?

this Netgear seems like a really good deal M4100

12 PoE ports at gigabit speed and it's managed. IS there a catch? has anyone tried this thing? It's not for a production environment.

Depends on what you mean by affordable. 24 port PoE gigabit switches are expensive.
Do your PoE devices really need gigabit? In my experience cameras and access points, for example, are perfectly fine with megabit.
If you need a lot of ports consider going with a used enterprise class switch off eBay. I recently bought a 24 port 3Com PoE layer 3 switch for 60 euros.
You can then use non-PoE switch for those devices which really need gigabit.

The switch you linked to, the M4100-D12G (GSM5212) is not POE. POE varies widely from switch to switch. How many ports need POE and how many watts per port do you need?
