Possible double NAT issue

Periodically I seem to have an internet drop out that last for a few minutes. Usually around the same time period (within the 5-7pm hours). Could a double NAT issue be causing internet dropouts?

I don't have a modem. My router connects directly to the wall outlet as I get fiber optic service through a local company. Everything is automatic through them. I believe I can disable NAT on the router through the "WAN", "Internet Connection" toggle.

Do I even have a double NAT problem? (Apple routers show a double NAT warning light) There is no indication from my RT-AC68w.

Check your WAN IP on the router. If it's a private IP (i.e. 192.168.x.y, 10.x.y.z, etc...) then this is most likely a dual NAT setup.

My WAN IP is 10.0.0.12. Do I need to disable NAT on the router?

You'd need to turn your router into an access point. This will of course remove a large portion of your router's features, and you'd be relying on your provider's router to handle things such as port forwards.
