New Around Here
Hello,

When i connect to my PPTP Server with PPTP Client (Asus AC66U, WRT Merlin), suddenly the Internet Connection fails.

I dont want to Route the Internet traffic trough the VPN, i only want local access!
How to manage that?

I think traffic routed to default gateway on your PPTP server.

ask Merlin to add this feature (choose default gateway for VPN) to firmware

now you can must remove routes from routing table and add route to local network.

[AC87] VPN Client Configuration

This is a problem I too have been trying to solve.
When I connect to my work VPN via my Win7 client I maintain local internet access. The Win7 VPN client can be configured to "NOT use the default gateway on the remote net
work."

However, I cannot seem to find such a configuration setting with the ASUS VPN Client. Hence, when I connect to the same work VPN via this client I immediately lose local internet access.

What is involved in routing traffic to my local gateway?
