PPTP VPN Client Password Problem

I've been lurking on SmallNetBuilder for quite a while, awesome place for Network related stuff.

My current router is RT-N66U with latest merlin firmware: 376.45

I encountered this issue while creating a pptp client profile. It looks like it wont take passwords with the characters ">" "<"

Is there any workaround for this? or maybe can this be fixed in the next release?

firmware stores profile data in nvram separated by "<"
