Hi

I think it was after the 378 major (The "Factory reset") release that i got some VPN struggle.. So what i did was to update to 378.53 and did another factory reset after that. Problem still remains... :(

I used to use openvpn, but after all resets, i tried to set everything up as simple as possible to try pptp, and this is my log

It's kind of a generic error - what it means is that the pppd didn't get LCP config requests from the peer (your client)...

Check your client config, also, if the PPTP server is behind another router, then you can run into issues with GRE packets, but generally...

Check here for more info - http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-diagnosis.phtml#lcp_timeout

ok... After some reading, i am suspecting my ISP.. My setup have been working for more than a year, so it does not makes any sense why it should stop working with this kind of problem.
I can successfully connect within my own lan from a laptop, but not outside.

If you has setting DMZ server...
It will not working
I get DMZ server in my rt-ac66u & rt-ac87u is not work
Remove then, PPTP will work

Sounds more like a local issue then with your server and client... check ports being forwarded...

Thanks to all your help.
I have found the issue

My cellphone ISP has made their cellular network to a non-NAT network, without noticing the customers, so now no one can use VPN. Good stuffs

LOL, i called the support and stirred the office... Now they have realized what they have done, so they are calling me constantly to find a solution to tell me that they are working on the bureaucracy to solve my problem.
