Problem when sending email with Netgear X6

I am having a particular problem with the Netgear X6 R8000 AC router. I set it up and everything seems fine, except when I send emails. When I send an email it goes in the outbox and there is a delay of several seconds until it sends. this happens on any computer, Mac and PC and with Outlook and Apple Mail. I had a Netgear R7000 and never had this problem, emails would send immediately and would never even have time to go into the outbox. There is no delay when receiving emails, only when sending them.

I wonder if there is a setting or something that would rectify this problem. I am running the latest firmware and did a hard reset hoping that would alleviate this issue but it is still happening.

Any ideas?

recheck your settings. Im sure your router has nothing to do with email.
