Problem with Port Forwarding while connected to OpenVPN Client

I'm having difficulty setting up Port Forwarding while connected to my OpenVPN client (Private Internet Access) on my RT-AC68U. Most likely I'm not understanding how to set port forwarding while connected to VPN as when I have my VPN client turned off port forwarding works fine but when VPN client is on port forwarding does not work.

I searched for some answers regarding this but haven't been able to figure out a solution. Do I have to setup something to update my DDNS with the VPN ip address?
