ProCurve 1410-16G and 802.3ad LACP woes

New Around Here
I picked up an HP 1410-16G 16 port ProCurve switch with advertised 802.3ad LACP support but I can't get my adapters to sync up and am wondering if I'm overlooking something. Three devices are trying to partake in my 2gbps goal:

-My ReadyNAS Pro Business set to 802.3ad says its working fine 2gbps link. Not sure if it's lying.

-I have two Intel PRO CT teamed to IEEE802.3ad Dynamic Link on a desktop and get about 1mbit throughput and constant drops. One link always says Standby. The other hops in and out of Standby. This pair works fine set in Static Link Aggregation.

-I have an Asus P5W motherboard with dual onboard marvels teamed in 'Dynamic' on a server. It can't seem to negotiate and link. Works fine when set in "static".

Since the switch is unmanaged I can't go and tell it what ports are what. Is there a trick to getting this setup? I can settle for Static link aggregation but I'd rather take advantage of LACP if I can. Any input to overcome my head scratching is appreciated.

I have no idea how an unmanaged switch can support port aggregation. Where did you see that the HP 1410-16G supports 802.3ad?

I'm looking at the specs on procurve.com and don't see anywhere that says this switch would support 802.3ad / LACP. It would have to be managed because you have to go into the interface and specifically tell it to turn on LACP and then assign it to an LACP group.

The command for procurves would be: trunk <ports> Trk# LACP

On my switches for LACP connections, I have one setup as trunk 1-2 Trk2 LACP.

I see the see that switch supports 802.3ab, which is just the IEEE gigabit spec for 1000-baseT over a twisted pair if I recall correctly.
