Not much different than their other one called: TL-WR1043ND [reviewed] expect for 400MHz 32MB of RAM Gigabit buffer 832KB 1 USB Shared Printer Port or FTP. 20dBm 100mW TX Power. The new one has the same except the Gigabit buffer is lower, throughput is 800MB for the Gigabit, CPU is 600MHz and you have 64MB of RAM dual USB ports, Dual Band 2.4/5GHz 300MB + 450MB. Newer one lacks some software configuration features that the WR1043ND has. TP-LINK told me they both have limited WiFi clients you can connect with them. Both are considered SOHC not SMB would do more WiFi Clients.

Oh one more thing the newer one has power on and off switch along with WiFi shut off feature. The prior one didn't have such features.

In absence of a review I'll add from experience.

1. Firmware issues impacting wireless client connectivity still being worked on which cause the TL-WDR4300 to lock up with a range of wireless adaptors

2. Hardware NAT cannot handle traffic associated with VOIP and currently to use it with VOIP TP Link are recommending customer disable hardware NAT which is very unfortunate and don't completely solve the issue.

3. A few other issues around remote access, firmware resetting to defaults etc

4. The biggest thing though is the wireless transmission range is very poor. Even with that power output level and 3 antenna's it a poor wireless capability for range and stability.

In summary TP link are taking their sweet time stablising the firmware and if the packet loss issue via the hardware NAT may not be resolvable by firmware from what I am lead to believe, so perhaps a new release of the hardware may be expected sometime in the future if they continue with this model. Given the speed that other providers are moving with increasing bandwidth and adapting to the new AC standard this model may be short lived in the market.
