PS3 problems

Lactose The Intolerant

New Around Here
I tried connecting my PS3 via wireless last night and could not. Although the PS3 can see the SSID it will not connect. I step through the process of setting it up and everything goes normally, but it simply will not connect.

Has anyone else seen this issue? None of my other wireless devices, Android phones/Apple TV/iPad/laptop/etc, have an issue connecting but the PS3 will not. It would connect fine to my previous wireless router, an Airport Extreme, but will not connect to the N66U

Thanks for your time.

If your PS3 is older is does not do 'n' . To accommodate older devices you will have to take your router out of N only and put it to auto mode. This will have the negative impact of slowing down the wireless network for all your 2.4GHz clients. That is not a routers fault but it comes from mixing older and newer devices. I recommend that you setup an older router for b&g devices in a non-interfering channel (with a different SSID) so your n66u can provide best speeds for newer devices. Good Luck !
