PS3 Slim Connection Problems on ASUS RT-AX59U (I assume it is because it is a legacy 802.11G device).

New Around Here
Hello all! I'm a new member here, but I've visited this forum a handful of times in the past to seek out some help for issues I'm facing regarding my home network and managed to find a resolution to them, but this time I'm left scratching my head.

Basically. My PS3 intermittently works, it will sometimes connect properly and sometimes won't connect properly, it will connect but the speeds will be worse than dialup on the downstream, but the upstream seems okay. When I look at the network traffic in my router's admin panel, I can see that my PS3 has a very low data rate on the downstream when this problem happens.

Btw... I have Full Fibre internet (500 download, 500 upload) and the internet works great on all other devices in my house (even devices that are 2.4G only, but the key thing is they do support 802.11N).

Here are a few key things:
- I've disabled 802.11B
- I've enabled WiFi 6
- I've tweaked the Professional Wireless Settings and Disabled the following settings: Universal Beamforming, TX Bursting & a few others.

I'm having to resort to using an old router in repeater/bridge mode to bypass this problem. I don't use my PS3 very often, but when I do, this issue is intermittent like I said. Very strange to be honest with you. Apart from that my router is almost flawless! 😊
