I've recently installed an RT-N66U router and loaded the merlin firmware. So far so good. I have a host within my network that requires telnet access (comments unnecessary) from the outside for demo purposes only. I've used the port forwarding to try and pass telnet and both port 23 to 23 to the LAN server and also as port 2023 to port 23 to the LAN server. Neither get by.
Is there anything unique and/or specific with this firmware to properly define port forwarding such as this with telnet? The ssh and http seem to go through just fine. :(

Just an idea...enable Telnet access to the router through the Administration/System page of the GUI. At least that's where it is in the standard firmware. Not sure where it is in Merlin.
