QNAP TS-210 and 1080p video?

I want to use this as a media storage / streaming device and am worried the TS-210 will not be fast enough to stream 1080p video. Does anyone know if it is? Would I need to get the TS-219 instead?

Depending on coding, 1080p video uses 20 - 30 Mbps, which is ~ 2.5 to about 4 MB/s. Any current NAS can support that rate.

Thanks, that's really good to know. Would I really be missing out much by getting the 210 instead of the 219? The price difference is quite big.

The 210 is just going to be slower than the 219. But still plenty fast for what you want to do.

Thanks again. It's going to be streaming video to a PS3, running slimserver and serving files to a couple of Macs. I guess I'll go for the 210 then.
