qos bandwidth limitation not working correctly

hi, i have 5G/LTE connection. My router has quectel RM551, its made by sumcomm. From this router i connect to ASUS RT-AX58U, the only purpose is to limit the speed of wifi for all house , as shown in settings picture of QOS. I have wifi on AP which is tp-link connected after ASUS. While i also have wifi on suncomm, which is only used for QUEST 2 eleven table tennis game. All this settings only for my table tennis game ping. But as you can see wifi from AP is only 8 mbps while wifi from 5G CPE is 36 mbps. Why the AP is not giving 25 mbps?

Try with Bandwidth Limiter. It can be applied to IP range.

Fast.com is quite inconsistent. Use different speed test, speedtest.net is popular.

Pitfall: I was wrongly checking the fast.com from connecting to wifi after router, i checked the speed from the QOS panel itself, and it was more then 80 mbps, which means that router is receiving full speed from CPE but after QOS algorithms, it is giving reduced speed to devices connecting to it.

Still Problem: Even if i am connecting, alone, only one person at middle of night, even then if QOS panel registers more than 80 mbps, me as a client only receive 12-13 mbps, although i set QOS bandwidth to 25 mbps.

Anyone knows why?

How do you measure the speed to the client?

Wired, wireless, what band it is connected to, what speed test?

by both speedtest and fast, on the client, while on ASUS, they have builtin speedtest, the test on client is with wifi, which is coming from AP, AP is connected to asus. the wifi is 2.4 and speeds connected are more than 100/100 (i am very near to the AP).

We are going into guessing. Environment conditions may impact greatly the throughput on 2.4GHz band and they may dynamically change. I don't know what client you test with nor why it is using 2.4GHz band and not much faster 5GHz band if the client is near the AP. As far as I know from the other thread the AP is an Archer C80 router, AC-class device. 🤷‍♂️

What you are doing is most likely not going to fix anything because your game needs low latency and not high bandwidth. Your LTE modem connection has high latency to begin with and the Wi-Fi connection to your game device adds more.

Is there any other solution except to use two sims. One for all purpose unlimited and other like 10gb per month only for gaming?

4G/5G connections have some additional overhead and packet fragmentation - so dropping the MaxMTU size on the WAN interface might help - try 1420 (the default is 1500) to account for the overhead... if 1420 works, one can increase it until it doesn't...
