It's a very loose interpretation of "compatible." It doesn't block MoCA signals, but, lacking the built-in MoCA filter, it sufficiently attenuates MoCA signals such that its use becomes problematic for all but the simplest of setups.*smile*. It might have been MoCA 1.0 compatible? I'm not sure why the web site referred to it as MoCA compatible in the installation video, but that was clearly misleading.
* A bonded MoCA 2.0 connection requires 4x+ the frequency range of MoCA 1.x, so, yes, a non-MoCA amp would pose a greater hurdle for maintaining full bonded MoCA 2.0 throughput.
