Question Regarding Merlin "Test Builds"

Would you mind giving a brief, layman's glimpse into what something like the current "Experimental BcraFFY builds" would be about? For any given supported router, what might these test builds be all about?

It's not terrible informative to me though. Is it then your understanding that this early build concerns itself with openssl updates?

I have not experienced any issues so far since I flashed my routers earlier with this build this last weekend
