Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 Beta is now available

Status
Not open for further replies.
Just installed Beta 3b on RT-BE92U running as a main router everything working great.

Only thing I could find are these errors:
Code:
May 7 20:12:35 networkmap: Error locking /var/lock/networkmap.lock: 0 Already locked
May 7 20:12:35 networkmap: Error unlocking -1: 9 Bad file descriptor

Those errors have been part of asuswrt firmware since........ that long ago I can't remember 😐

Beta 3 - No issues so far on my BE96U. Logs seen are just normal start up stuff and a device that seems to reboot itself or the port every 24 hours. It's not a router issue.

Dirty upgrade on RT-AX86U Pro. Working well. No issues. Looks good on my end.

I second that. No issues whatsoever for me.

Maybe we need a plug-in to highlight logs which is known to be benign/not critical with a different colour so users will be able to differentiate.

Smooth sailing since I installed beta3 three days ago.
Node backhaul at 2.5 GB, core switch connected via link aggregation (port 1-2), iot wlan/vlan (port 3).
5GHz network bandwidth 160 MHz @ channel 48.

MANY THANKS to RMerlin!

Dear all,
For many years I am following this forum. The community helped me very much over the last 2 decades, kudos! I decided to try this latest beta as I would like to test the Guest Network Pro functionality and IoT setup with all my devices at home. I upgraded and almost everything seems to work normally. YazDHCP had to be updated to developer version (1.0.7) for all the leased IPs to display properly. After playing a little bit I understood Adguard is not working properly with all the different VLANs created in Guest Network Pro. For the moment I removed Adguard and move the service on a PI-Hole installation in my lab. The issue I am struggling to make it work is the Guest Portal. Setup seems to be proper and I do get the portal with the "Continue" button. However when clicking on it I get a fail message from http://192.168.53.1 (VLAN subnet). Is there any reason why is this happening?

I have a similar issue with Captive portals on my end. I saw other reports as well found below: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-3006-102-4-beta-is-now-available.94366/post-952904

I can't get the guest portals working. I can activate them and let them show in my network list, but they can't connect to it. I have AGH active and Skynet. Maybe that is the problem. In the logs I see an entry dnsmasq that is giving the problem. Has anyone an solution?

But unlike him; I don't have AGH active or Skynet.
Here is my setup (no Intranet access) and the error I receive:

exactly the same user experience. I also don't have AGH and Skynet installed. I think this is an area for improvement in future releases.

After installing the Beta 3, I have lost access to my cable modem at http://192.168.100.1/ . My network router runs on http://192.168.50.1/ and following. Did the update drop or change anything that would cause that bit of weirdness?

I have a mesh network as well.

Did anyone tested gree air conditioner with Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4. I have two XT12 and all 3 units of gree AC in my home won't connect to wifi. On the second
XT12 (configured as AiMesh node) I install also official 3006 firmware and It didn't helped. After installing 3004.388.8_4 on XT12 (node) the gree AC connect to this node without any problems.
