[Question] RT-AC87U expected/normal temps?

Hi,

I'm checking my RT-AC87U and noticed it has a bit high temps.
Am I correct or which are the "normal/expected" temps for this model?

Thanks,

I'm curious myself, as my AC87U is in the mail for delivery. :D

These devices works just perfect, it's an awesome router and I recommend it to everyone, but I'm concerned about temps because I don't have any reference temps.
I'm going to check on internet if I can find something while a knowledgeable user help us.

Also first thing I did was test the router with both firms .3385 and latest merlin's one

I do not know what the temps should be, but here are mine:
2.4 GHz: 40°C - 5 GHz: 49°C - CPU: 65°C

I do have a laptop cooler under it.

Thanks, that at least is a reference.

Strange that here I am on a small apartment with Air Conditioner all that at 24ºC

We get these temp questions quite frequently about ASUS routers. Yes, they get hotter than the competition. No, there's not much to worry about as they're designed to withstand this

Still, if it makes you uncomfortable, buy a USB fan and lets it cool it down
