Quick disconnect ?

Hello,

I am using the latest Asus-Merlin firmware, 376-45. Is there a way to quickly disconnect or terminate internet access for a specific client? Scenario- you're told someone is misbehaving, so your choices are to go and yank the cable from the wall or at the switch port, or you (should be able to) quickly disconnect the client. Am I just not looking in the right spot, or does this feature not exist?

Thanks, PC

No such capability.

If you know your way around iptables, you could always insert a rule that would drop all his WAN traffic.

And once again, I learn something new. :)

I think you could black list the client in your firewall settings.

I'm not sure if there is a way to completely stop all internet traffic to one specific ip address though using the firewall settings.

The TomatoUSB/Shibby firmware allows bandwidth restriction by IP/MAC address...haven't used it but it is there. You could severely restrict the bandwidth of a specific user/device. Find it on the top menu under "Bandwidth Limiter" (Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-121 K26 USB AIO-64K)
