R7000 with a N56U as Repeater

I am having trouble setting up my N56u as a wireless repeater for my R7000. I am not sure if I can do it with stock firmware or Padavan firmware. I understand I need to set it to a different subnet and disable NAT and WAN?

I just got my N56U working as a wireless client. I disabled NAT and WAN but the key I believe it to set up the Gateway and DNS to what the main router is aka Main is 192.168.1.1 and the N56U repeater is 192.168.1.2 you would set up your gateway to 1.1 on the N56U.
