Recommendation for Home NAS.

I would like to have a place to offload a lot of the files I store on my main PC hard drive with the raid redundancy.

I would also like to be able to use the NAS to be the media storage and media server for my PS3.

I would think a minimum of three drive box would be meet my storage/backup needs.

I would prefer not to have to hack or mod the firmware to get reliable media streaming to my PS3.

Is there a good solution.

Thanks in advance.

Twonkyvision also supports both devices, so every nas which supports it...

Ex :
Qnap
Thecus (by community)
etc.

Thanks for the information. The ds207+ or TS-209 look like a good choices for my needs.

Now to choose which one.

I don't think I'll need the three drives. Two should be fine in Raid 1 config.

My TS-409 does it all and more.

Hot swappable RAID 5 (or 6).... works GREAT with my PS3 (media streaming) ... user privileges ....expandable (if you only want to buy 2 or 3 drives initially) ... a TON of extras ...

Only thing ... it does cost a bit more ... also, if you can afford it upgrade your network to 1GB (although it did run fine on 100 MB initially). I'm working through the 1GB upgrade at the moment. Still some tweaking to do ....
