Recommended USB modem and data plan for failover?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a usb modem and data plan for failover internet on ASUS routers? I'm looking for something that's pay as go (refillable data) opposed to something with monthly subscriptions and use or lose it data.

I have an ASUS AC68u if that matters.
