I'm considering the purchase of a dual bay NAS storage enclosure with Gigabit interface and SATA II compatible drives. It would have to work reliably in a wireless environment for nightly backups from our two wireless PCs. The D-link DNS-321 seems to meet these requirements, but are there other products that anyone can recommend at comparable price? The price is a serious consideration since I'm having two scrap my two 500GB Ximeta drives which fail to work in the wireless environment. Thanks.

Great news! Klegg (Ximeta) has agreed to give me a full refund for both drives so I'm definitely in the market for a dual bay NAS enclosure that supports SATA II drives with Gigabit interface. I would very much appreciate recommendations from those using them in a wireless environment. My favorite so far is the D-Link DNS-321 based in good part on the $99 price tag from buy.com.

Please correct me if I am wrong: I think that D-Link DNS-321 is not compatible with SATA-II hard drives.

I am running the DNS-321 with two Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s 500-GB Hard Drives. I believe they are SATA II, but you can review the full manufacturers' specs here: http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?locale=en-US&name=st500320as-barracuda-7200-11-sata-3-0-gb/s-500g-hd&vgnextoid=c89ef141e7f43110VgnVCM100000f5ee0a0aRCRD&vgnextchannel=47f281f8c0f43110VgnVCM100000f5ee0a0aRCRD&reqPage=Model. I purchased these drives for $62 each from Dell.com
