I have an RT-AC68 running the latest Merlin (though earlier versions had the same problem) with 2 x RT-AC52 in repeater mode running the latest Asus firmware (Merlin doen't support this router).
The main router runs a main SSID that is only used by the repeaters and a couple of other nearby devices. It also runs a second SSID that the repeaters also offer to clients, so that mobile devices all use the same SSID and connect to the nearest router.
All is working fine, except, when the router is rebooted or reconfigured, causing the repeaters to lose their connection with the RT-AC68. Of course this should be fine, the repeaters should simply reconnect when the router's wifi is back up, but for some reason they don't, and a hard reboot is required (faster than logging on and manually forcing them to reconnect).
Anyone have any ideas why they don't reconnect automatically? Thanks in advance!
