Reset RT-AX88U and Re-Registering DDNS

Hi all,

I want to do a factory reset to the router and set it back up again.
Will I be able to reuse the same DDNS or do I need to unregister it first and then re-register it?

Is there a specific way to perform a full flash reset?

Thanks.

With a noip DDNS you don't need to deregister. Not sure about the others.

Noip gives you 3 domains for free. You just have to respond to an 'update' email every 28 days for each.

The name should register just fine on the same router after a factory reset.

you mean it should register fine regardless if I unregister it before the factory reset?
No, you do not have to deregister. With the same router you can use the same name.
Now, if you get a new router and want to use the same DDNS name you need to change the Asus DDNS on the old router first.
