Restore default settings (post firmware update)

After updating to the latest Merlin firmware I have been clicking the tab beside the firmware tab, Restore/Save/Upload Setting and I've been restoring factory setting from there. Is this correct? Should I be doing this or holding the reset button for five seconds? Is there any difference between the two as far as resetting factory defaults? I assumed it was the save thing, just different ways of going about it.
