I am sick of this WRT1900AC....P-O-S
Sending back today to Amazon
Getting a RT-AC68U (that states made in USA...for a change right? doubtful..maybe...eh)
I know ASUS firmware is not the best
Can someone
1: Tell me a good firmware that stress signal strength (output) to avoid or overcome the neighbors wi-fi. Biggest one is on channel 6 next door (townhouse community)
2: Can use the attached storage well (on USB ports)
3: I only have 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz devices. No AC so will just basically be all N, no a,b or g
I was going to go to Ubiquiti Edge Router Lite and the Ubi AP-Pro 2.4/5Ghz AP BUT...and I am not all that stupid....BUT
It's a lot more CLI stuff and it's been 15+ years since I have worked in this field. I was good for my time back then but I don't do unix, cisco, juniper, etc anymore...it's not like riding a bike, that you never forget.....this stuff if you don't do it day in and day out you loose your edge.
And I lost mine a long time ago..
..so I have no problems in asking for help.
Thanks....
